about

This song, although it may not seem like it at times is essentially about moving on. I went through an interesting period of my life through 2015 until early 2016, a time where I was very confused about who I was and who I was to others, a lot of that emotion is summed up in the EP we released a while back. Dominic and I wrote "For July" as a reflective song, summing up the past year and clearing demons. It's a brief look into the direction that the band is heading and we're so thankful to anyone who has taken the time to listen and enjoy the music we make. - Jack

Things get better, we promise.

lyrics

They say that love is two sided and blind
But you never seemed to have the time
I moved mountains in your name
You couldn’t even kick a stone for me

It’s like every time I try
You’re never on my side
I didn’t want to disappoint
But you gave me no choice

& I’ve been thinking about the days we spent
Now its nights alone laying in my bed

I said I wanted you to stay
But this thought is stuck inside my brain
Seasons come and go, they’re always
Changing

Check the time and I bet you leave
But I sing this hoping that you see,
Seasons come and go but you’ll
Always mean so much to me.

They say the proud stand tall, but I stand small
My heart I built a 12 foot wall
This emptiness is my own fault
Solution’s built inside these walls

Where are you now?
Have you moved on?

I said I wanted you to stay
But this thought is stuck inside my brain
Seasons come and go, they’re always
Changing

Check the time and I bet you leave
But I sing this hoping that you see,
Seasons come and go but you’ll
Always mean so much to me.

But I won’t be there when you figure things out
The words that you wrote weren’t from your mouth
And when winter comes and you’re feeling cold
When he’s not there for you to hold

I won’t be there to make you proud
I took my time, I’m older now
So I’ll stand here on this hallowed ground
Please don’t ever come around
